Tampa Bay Sun FC announce waterfront fan fest, pop up shop, and more ahead of their home opener

It’s finally time for the Tampa Bay Sun to take the field. The countdown to the club’s first-ever game is officially on. Join Tampa Bay’s first professional women’s sports team for the upcoming season with a packed schedule of events.

Kick off the festivities on Wednesday, August 7 at Lykes Gaslight Square Park from 11am to 2pm in Downtown Tampa. The team invites the community to show off its soccer skills and compete for exciting prizes while meeting their favorite Sun players at this free event.

A big waterfront fan fest at Julian B Lane Park

Season pass holders get an exclusive preseason peek at the team on Saturday, August 10 at 7pm as the Sun takes on Fort Lauderdale United at Riverfront Stadium on the campus of Blake High School.

Kickoff Soccer Clinic & SUNday Funday Fan Fest: Bring the whole family for a free, fun-filled day at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on Sunday, August 11. Have a blast at the SUNday Funday Fan Fest from 11am to 2pm, complete with music, food, and exciting activities—including player appearances. A free soccer clinic for kids 6-12 starts off the excitement; families should register in advance at this link.

Gear up for game day with the latest Sun merchandise at a special pop-up shop at Amalie Arena beginning Wednesday, August 14 through Friday, August 16 from 12pm to 6pm. Tampa Bay Sun FC players will visit the shop and greet fans at various times each day.

March to the Sun’s first ever match in Tampa

Take part in the historic moment on Sunday, August 18 for a thrilling “march to the match” as fans parade to the stadium before the Sun’s first-ever home game at 6:30pm against Dallas Trinity FC at Riverfront Stadium.
