Be the thunder: Tampa Bay Lightning’s season starts in October

The countdown is on! The Tampa Bay Lightning season kicks off in less than a month, promising excitement for diehard fans and casual spectators alike. Amalie Arena, known for its electric atmosphere and non-stop entertainment, is the place where Tampa’s hockey heart beats loudest. It’s no wonder this city lives up to its motto: “Be the thunder.”

Mark your calendars for the preseason matchups set for September 24, 27, and October 2. But that’s just the beginning! Here’s a glimpse at the upcoming regular season home games for the Tampa Bay Lightning:

If you do one thing this Lightning season, hitch a ride before a home game on the Tampa Bay ICEBOX – a street legal zamboni that traverses downtown Tampa. The Tampa Bay ICEBOX will begin running an hour and a half before Tampa Bay Lightning home games – 5:30pm for 7pm games; 6pm for 7:30pm games; 6:30pm for 8pm games. 

First pick-ups of the night will be at Grand Central in Channelside (E. Madison St. next to the Pour House). Subsequent pick-ups will be at parking lots along Cass Street and Morgan Street. All riders will be dropped off in front of Amalie Arena.
