Tampa Bay Lightning clinch playoff spot, can the Bolts run it back?

hockey players celebrating on the ice

The Tampa Bay Lightning have officially clinched a spot in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. In unprecedented circumstances, the Tampa Bay Lightning managed to win the Stanley Cup. The final game was in an empty arena far from the team’s rink at Amalie Arena.

Following a decisive victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, the Bolts officially clinched a spot in the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. The Lightning are currently ranked third in the Central Division with 33 wins and 14 losses.

Tampa Bay Lightning make playoffs for 4th straight season

So, do the Bolts have a chance of repeating their Stanley Cup Playoffs win? Our totally biased opinion: YES.

If the Lightning can surge in the last 7 games of the regular season they could glide past the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes and earn home ice advantage for at lease the first two rounds of the playoffs.

The team’s success is emblematic of the new Champa Bay moniker. The nickname has stuck. The Buccaneers won the Super Bowl, and the Tampa Bay Rays fell just a couple games shy of winning the World Series. Additionally, The Tampa Bay Rowdies made is to the USL championship, but the game was never played due to the pandemic.

We’re feeling electrified for the Tampa Bay Lightning. The team currently allows fans in attendance at limited capacity. You can view and purchase tickets online.
