The Tampa Streetcar Live is a recurring live music event that takes place on the city’s historic streetcars. This series took a 2 year hiatus due to the pandemic. Streetcar Live made a small return back in May and now the series is officially back for the fall. As part of the return, Streetcar Live is moving to Fridays to join the Tampa Downtown Partnership’s Fourth Friday programming. Fourth Friday is a monthly arts & culture crawl throughout Tampa’s Downtown, providing an evening of special offerings, live music, programs by cultural destinations, and much more.

Gasparilla Music Fest is a partner in the ongoing series. With a capacity of just 74, the historic Streetcar provides an intimate and unique musical experience unmatched in Tampa Bay. Whale Feral is a southern jam band combining intricate compositions and raw improvisation to produce a truly unique sound.

This of course is a one show teaser ahead of the full fall return. The streetcar system itself continues to shatter ridership records. The free transit system can take visitors from popular areas like downtown Tampa and Sparkman Wharf, out to historic Ybor City. An expansion into West Tampa and the Hyde Park area could be in the streetcar’s future in accordance with Vision Zero.

The near 3 mile-long system hosted more than 104,000 riders in April. The system is on track to serve more than 1 million riders this fiscal year, according to Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART).

TECO Line Streetcar currently features 11 stops:
