Spirit Airlines Adds New Nonstop Route to TPA

It’s been a banner (fiscal) year for Tampa International Airport. TPA served 19.2 million passengers, and grew its international traffic by 11.6% — due in large part to the addition of Icelandair and Copa Airlines.

In just a few months, residents of Columbus, Ohio will be able to escape the winter with new nonstop routes to Tampa, Orlando, Fort Myers, Ft. Lauderdale and Las Vegas courtesy of Spirit Airlines. Service is set to begin on February 15, 2018.

We are excited to bring our ultra-low fares to Columbus just in time for spring break, connecting central Ohio to some of Spirit’s top vacation destinations.

Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning

The daily, seasonal routes to Tampa will run from February 15 through April 11, 2018. Service will resume on November 8 of the same year. Tickets can be purchased now on Spirit’s website.
