Sparkman Wharf to host its first-ever boat-in floating cinema event

The rest of the world can enjoy drive-in movies. In Tampa, we enjoy boat-in flicks. Sparkman Wharf, the all-encompassing waterfront food and entertainment hub, will host its first-ever floating cinema event this September.

Sparkman plans to screen Overboard on September 26. The cinema classic stars Goldie Hawn as an heiress who mocks and cheats a hired carpenter played by Kurt Russell. When she gets amnesia after an accident, he decides to introduce her to regular life by convincing her they’re husband and wife.

The event is free to attend on wheels or on water, but registration is required for those attend via car. Click HERE to reserve a spot.

The Boat-In portion of the event does not require registration. Pull your boat up to the Wharf, toss your anchor, and enjoy — just refrain from tying your anchor to the wharf.

Sparkman Wharf is located at 615 Channelside Drive and begins at 7pm.
