In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Ybor City’s newest brewery, Sky Puppy, is stepping up to support Tampa Bay communities in need. While they were fortunate to escape the storm without damage, the brewery is focusing its efforts on assisting heavily affected areas, including Gulfport, Treasure Island, Shore Acres, and Pass-a-Grille.

The brewery has launched a supply drive this week, with plans to deliver aid to impacted neighborhoods in the coming days. They are urgently collecting items such as heavy-duty black trash bags, cold water, rubber gloves, rakes, mops, disinfectant, rubber bins, crowbars, generators, and fans.

As they gear up to help the region recover, they invite the public to contribute to the relief efforts by dropping off supplies at the brewery. Sky Puppy is located at 1313 E 8th Avenue.

Local spots in Gulfport such as Let It Be Ice Cream, and Gold Dinosaur are seeking community support. Gulfport Brewery has worked tirelessly to collect supplies and coordinate relief efforts in the community as well.

The Glazer Family has pledged $1 million to relief efforts, and the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation has pledged $2 million.
