Shortwave Coffee brings signature cold brew to new cafe in downtown Tampa

Shortwave Coffee, an award-winning craft coffee shop, roastery and café based out of Columbia, MO, has opened its first location in Tampa at Sparkman Wharf. The café is located in one of Sparkman Wharf’s premium ground-floor retail spaces next to spots such as Noble Rice and Jotoro. The business roasts its own coffee beans, and serves espresso based drinks, freshly brewed coffee and tea, as well as breakfast, lunch and bakery items. Their apple turnovers look sensational.

This single origin shop also provides full espresso bars and coffee catering in addition to pop-up café events. The café brings another premium coffee, breakfast and lunch option to Water Street Tampa and will serve the growing population of office tenants at Sparkman Wharf and throughout the neighborhood.

Shortwave’s signature drink is the Mint Mayday. The drink is described as a wildly refreshing sweet and creamy cold brew with muddled mint. Visitors can also sip on dirty chai lattes, hibiscus iced teas, spicy Mexican hot chocolate, and Moroccan hot chocolate.

Shortwave Coffee’s official address is 615 Channelside Dr Suite 106. This follows the news that a gourmet toast and cold pressed juice shop will open in Water Street in 2023. Boulon Brasserie, Wagamama, Small Giant, 3 Corners, and Wine on Water are slated to open by the end of the year.

Plus you don’t want to miss The Holiday Promenade happening at Water Street Tampa this Thursday featuring more than 60 vendors.
