Seminole Heights’ first sports bar, Social House, will open this Friday

If you are looking for something to do this Friday, well, we have just the ticket…This Friday at 5pm, Seminole Heights will officially have its own sports bar. Introducing Social House.

Social House, an elevated sports bar, has taken over the former Mortar and Pestle location at 6310 N. Florida Avenue.  The bar’s concept is meant to be a perfect place to watch a Lightning game, but also just a chill spot to meet up with friends – hence the name.

Not your ordinary sports bar

Social House is from the mind of restaurant industry veterans and former NFL wide receiver, Logan Payne. The menu is coming from one of the gurus behind SoFresh’s “fast-casual-fresh” fare, so possibly expect some sophisticated superfood options to go with your pitcher of beer.

For all our vegetarian and vegan friends, the restaurant will have quality options for you – so don’t stay home.

The best spot for the NHL playoffs

Yes, Social House will have plenty of beer and spirits. According to reporting from Creative Loafing Tampa, the sports bar will carry 32 taps ranging from craft microbrews, to wine and even cocktails.

An industrial aesthetic built around iron and wood will greet visitors this Friday, and we expect this spot to be a staple for the upcoming NHL playoffs and next year’s Bucs games.

Visit Social House at 6310 N. Florida Avenue starting this Friday at 5pm.
