New event series will take guests to a “secret space” inside historic Hotel Flor in Tampa

Tampa residents and visitors are invited to “uncover the secrets of the historic Hotel Flor” (905 N Florida Avenue) in downtown Tampa with Secret Spaces, an immersive event series presented by The Rooted Door running from August 22-September 22. This unique experience will transform a previously private residence—once the home of the hotel’s original owners and never before revealed to the public—into an enchanting environment of artistic performance, music, and theatrical storytelling.

Running throughout the month, “Secret Spaces” promises to transport attendees to a dream-like world filled with historical intrigue and creative expression. The Rooted Door, a Florida 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to elevating arts and culture in the community. Their mission is to empower and support the next generation of artists through immersive events, scholarships, and collaborative partnerships that drive positive change.

Attendees can add to their experience with the specialty “Secret Spaces” Dinner + Cocktail Menu at The Dan Restaurant, available throughout the month. Ten percent of the proceeds will support The Rooted Door Organization’s efforts to foster arts and culture in the community.

Tickets are $65 and available online, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Center for Architecture + Design-Tampa Bay. This support aids in programming for historic preservation, sustainability, and design excellence in the city.
