Remedy on the Riverwalk: Waterfront craft cocktail spot officially opens

The Tampa Riverwalk was voted one of the greatest places in America, thanks in large part to the dedicated residents of this city. It’s no wonder. The path connects you to several of the absolute best restaurants/food halls in the city (Heights Public Market and Sparkman Wharf). Not to mention cultural hubs like the Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Museum of Art.

Along the Riverwalk you can hit up the Tampa Convention Center, grab a drink at The Sail and hop a ride on the Cross-Bay Ferry. To call it bustling would be an understatement. Somehow, it continues to get better.

Remedy brings a raw bar and flatbreads to Riverwalk

Remedy, a restaurant with exquisite light bites and an extensive craft cocktail program has officially opened right outside Tampa’s beer can building — the cylindrical Sykes building for the uninitiated.

Officially located at 400 North Ashley Drive, Remedy is the perfect spot to enjoy a jumbo Key West pink shrimp cocktail. The concept features a raw bar and lengthy list of flatbreads to choose from.

They’ve teased decadent items like lobster tail with a Champagne vanilla drizzle and wild caught salmon sashimi sunsets with parsley, avocado and orange slices.

Chef brings 30 years of experience to restaurant

Chef Derek Lavarone has been perfecting the art of the flatbread for nearly three decades, according to the owners. You’d do well to experience the prosciutto flatbread, a light, savory treat that pairs perfectly with either a hearty Bloody Mary, or a bubbly mimosa.

It will never want for foot traffic. Listen, even if you’re not that hungry, the views from the restaurant are unreal. Watching the sun set behind the minarets at the University of Tampa never gets old.

Take ride along the Riverwalk after your meal

If you want to burn those calories after a full meal, you can always cruise up and down the Riverwalk on Coast Bikes, or take it easy and grab one of those electric scooter (set to arrive in Tampa in early 2019).

Follow Remedy on Facebook for updates on their menu. Remedy is open Wednesday from 5-11pm, Friday from 5pm-midnight, Saturday from noon-midnight, and Sunday from 11am-8pm.
