One of TripAdvisor’s “Top 25 Zoos in the U.S”, things are about to get a whole lot more interesting, and wet, at ZooTampa. Now open, Roaring Springs is a new wild water adventure offering visitors a new way to interact with the landscape and wildlife at the zoo– with the rush of a three-story drop!
Plus, where can you go on African safari (giraffes!), wander through Down Under (koalas!), stroll the Asian gardens (tigers!), and watch manatees play, all in an afternoon? The newly anointed ZooTampa at Lowry Park, is one of Tampa Bay’s prized possessions and home to more than 1,300 animals across 65 acres!
And as an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization, it feels good knowing every ticket purchased helps the zoo provide vital care, rescue and rehabilitation to threatened native Florida wildlife. In fact, ZooTampa is the only non-profit manatee hospital in the world and one of the only places that you can see these gentle giants year-round.
Open seven days a week, from 9:30am to 5pm daily, it’s easy to set a date for a trip to the zoo that fits everyone’s schedule.
