On October 4, thrill-seekers can join the Dark History Plant City Tour with Citrine Ghost from 6pm-7pm, for just $22 per person. Perfectly timed for spooky season, the tour takes participants through five blocks of the city’s historic streets, revealing eerie true stories and enigmatic tales from its shadowy past.

Guided by Shannon from The Citrine Ghost, the one-hour journey promises an evening filled with intrigue and suspense. Comfortable attire is recommended, and the tour is designed for those 13 and older due to mature themes. Proceeds from the event go directly to support the nonprofit mission of the Catnip Café, ensuring the care of its beloved kitties.

An Edgar Allen Poe Tea Experience in Plant City

Then, on October 6, the Café will host the Edgar Allan Poe Tea Experience, with reservations available at 12pm, 1:30pm, 3pm, and 4:30pm. For $55 per person, guests will enjoy a haunting afternoon tea featuring two pourings paired with sweet and savory delights. To set the mood, dramatic readings of Poe’s greatest works will take place at every sitting. In honor of Poe’s famous feline companion, Cattarina, each guest will also receive a pass to visit the Café’s own mews-filled lounge. This event is suitable for Poe fans ages 12 and up, and advance tickets are required.

Both events promise an unforgettable combination of history, mystery, and feline charm, while supporting a great cause.
