Paul Reubens coming to Tampa Theatre for Pee-Wee’s 35th Anniversary

What’s today’s secret word? Pee-Wee! The iconic character created by the enigmatic Paul Reubens has captivated audiences for years, both on the big screen, the small screen, and the stage.

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the cult classic film, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Paul Reubens is going on tour and he’s making a stop at the historic Tampa Theatre on March 13.

A critical and financial triumph at the box office, the 1985 comedy, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, starring and co-written by Reubens, grossed more than $40M domestically and made Pee-wee Herman a household name.

The movie marked the feature film directorial debut of Tim Burton and the first major studio film for composer Danny Elfman, beginning the now legendary filmmaking duo’s partnership which has resulted in 16 films over the last three decades.

The event will include a screening of the film, followed by stories about the making of the movie with Pee-wee himself, Paul Reubens.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 13, and range from $34.50-$75.00. A very limited number of EARLYBIRD VIP Packages will be available for $104.50-$349.50, plus taxes and applicable fees, and additional VIP Package Options are also available in advance for $109.50 – $399.50, plus taxes and applicable fees.

The Tampa Theatre is located at 711 North Franklin Street.
