The cooler temps have arrived in the city of Tampa. I’m aware that to those outside of Florida these temps might not seem too harsh, but it’s all relative to what you’re used to. So, as the chill increases here in Tampa, the need for some hot comfort food grows. Welcome Olivia, Tampa’s cold weather savior.
This restaurant is billed as offering traditional Italian cuisine with a modern flair. Olivia officially opens on Wednesday, November 27. The restaurants owners have offered a sneak preview of the menu on the new website.

Appetizers take center stage at Olivia
So what has this blogger salivating?
First, the polenta fries. This started is dusted with parmesan and served with a special pomodoro sauce.
The Coccoli Fritto also caught my attention. It’s basically a fried bread ball served with super savory prosciutto. There’s also a list of different charcuterie boards available if you want to have your fill before you have your fill. I certainly approve of this.
Pizza features on this traditional menu. Listed options include:
Soppressata: Mozzarella, spicy honey, garlic, fresno chili
Four Season: Artichokes, olives, cotto, mix mushroom
Tuscan: Prosciutto, gorgonzola figs, arugula, roasted onions
Potato: Bésciamella, ndjua, rosemary
Huge selection of artisanal pastas
I know what you’re really here for though. It’s the pasta, right?
Take a fun twist on the classic with the black linguine. The plate features Key West pink shrimp , calabresse, chile, scallions.
The agnolotti has my curiosity. Enjoy short rib, porcini, bone marrow butter all in one dish.
