New farmers market debuts on Franklin Street

Tampa Theatre’s resolve to support this city is inexhaustible, and this new pop-up farmers market on Franklin Street is a testament to that. The fresh event will feature Tampa Bay’s best small farms selling produce.

This market is in celebration of the film “The Biggest Little Farm,” which will screen at Tampa Theatre at 7:30pm on May 24.

Festival favorite documentary garnering buzz

The documentary chronicles John and Molly Chester’s eight-year quest as they trade Los Angeles apartment living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with a sometimes unforgiving environment.

The farmers market takes place from 5:30-7:30pm. Confirmed community vendors include Bike/Walk Tampa Bay, The Tampa Bay Beekeeper’s Association, TrailBale Farm of Temple Terrace, Waldenponics and Whitwam Organics.
