Tampa continues to be recognized as one of the best places to be in the country. Money just named Tampa the 9th best place to live in America for 2023. The top spot went to Atlanta, GA, and easy plane ride from Tampa if you’re ever craving a trip. Our food scene continues to earn accolades, and a few of our restaurants received MICHELIN stars. Major new residential developments, marquee events, a thriving sports scene, and more things to do than we can count along the Tampa Riverwalk help Tampa stand out in the US. Plus our airport was just named the best large airport in the country. We also have one of the best public holiday displays in America, according to USA Today.

“Tampa is a rare combination of action-packed and affordable: The median home sale price is about $381,000, one of the lowest on our list, and you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck,” writes Julia Glum for Money.com. “There’s nightlife galore in the Ybor City district.”

Glum continues, “You can immerse yourself in sports: The Buccaneers won the 2021 Super Bowl, of course, but fans can also enjoy University of South Florida Bulls games at Raymond James Stadium. Head indoors to catch the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field or three-time Stanley Cup champs the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena. The Tampa Bay area — which includes nearby cities like St. Petersburg and Clearwater — is bursting with culture.”

The journalist also notes Tampa’s top tier local amenities, and access to the country’s best beaches as key reasons behind its top 10 position in Best Cities to Live. Visitors can also enjoy the top theme park attractions in the world at Busch Gardens.

Art admirers also have a plethora of options between our performing arts venues and local museums. “Check out Surrealist art at the Dalí Museum or see a touring Broadway show at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, write Glum.
