Midtown Tampa provides new aerial view of construction progress

Rendering of Tampa's new urban district, Midtown Tampa
Rendering of Midtown Tampa reveals plans for Whole Foods, a 3-acre lake and more.

Welcome to Midtown, everyone. Right now it may just look like a patch of dirt, but soon (as a rendering reveals) it will be one of the top spots to live and play in Tampa.

The concept took to Facebook to provide a new aerial view of the construction progress, paired with a rendering to give an idea of where it’s all headed.

New Whole Foods planned for Midtown

What’s in the rendering? Well, for one the super anticipated Whole Foods Market. Gives us those parm crisps and chocolate covered snickerdoodle dough balls, you cowards.

It’s described as a new urban district at the center of I-275 and Dale Mabry. Midtown sits on 22 acres with 1.8 million square feet dedicated to retail, residential, 3 Class A office buildings, entertainment, and hospitality.

It’s freaking city within a city, y’all, and we’re just here waiting to move in. Plans for the space also include Midtown Commons, a 3-acre Midtown Lake with a running trail surrounding it, and an off-leash dog park.
