The Hall at Midtown may not be happening after all. The anticipated multi-level food hall was in the works for a couple of years, but it looks like the group is focusing on their Orlando location and forthcoming food hall in St. Pete. The space that was meant for the food hall will instead serve as the new home for Ballard Designs. This is according to an article in the Tampa Bay Bay Business Journal.
Ballard Designs currently operates inside International Plaza, Tampa’s expansive and high-end shopping mall. According to TBBJ, Ballards would make the move to Midtown Tampa sometime in 2023, though an official timeline is still TBA.

The shop’s style is “a unique curation of all periods and provenance with a distinctive European influence,” write The Ballard owners. “We reinterpret classic designs in a contemporary way, so pieces feel at once fresh and timeless.”
Ballard’s designers travel the world in search of new trends in fashion, color and style that they translate into exclusive products you can’t find anywhere else. It’s their way of keeping the showroom fresh and on trend, while ensuring each customers takes something home that feels unique to their tastes. Today, Ballards offers more than 300 pieces you can customize from finish to fabric. With Ballard, you can make any project your own.
The new furniture shop would be located on the ground floor of The Loft Building in Midtown Tampa, next door to Colony Grill Pizza.
