Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Phase 1 of his plan to reopen the state. This includes allowing restaurants and retailers to open their doors. Both will have to operate with 25% occupancy, and all outdoor seating must be set 6 feet apart.

The Meat Market is the best steakhouse in South Florida — and now it might be the best brunch spot in all of Tampa. The chic restaurant just debuted a new lunch and brunch menu, brimming with cocktails and mocktails for your sipping pleasure.
What goes into throttling Tampa’s lunch scene?
It starts with small plates.
What’s a lunch break if you don’t share it, right? The That’s So Tampa team kicked off the scrumptious lunch with Tuna Tartare featuring ginger, soy, avocado smash, mango mole, and citrus foam.
You can also rethink salad as a light bite with the chopped quinoa creation. It’s made with almonds, kale, diced cucumber, ricotta, spinach purple cabbage, roasted peppers, corn, cherry tomato, topped with ahi panca dijon dressing.
Dazzling drink menu
What to sip?
The Meat Market’s drink menu features cocktails almost too pretty to drink. The non-alcoholic Magic Lemonade is a dreamy lavender drink with fresh lemon juice, and butterfly pea flower.
If you want savor the sweet nectar of summer, go with the One in a Melon. The mocktail features watermelon, lime, lavender, mint and seltzer.
Best lunch in Tampa
On to the entrees. The Herb-crusted Sea Bass might be the best lunch dish I’ve had in Tampa in 2020. This succulent treat is made with truffle mash, wild mushrooms, sweet corn tomato, truffle sage, and soy beans.
It’s the kind of hearty dish that won’t sink you into a food coma, but rather perk you up for the rest of the day ahead.
The Churrasco and Frites, and the Petite Prime Ribeye with sweet potato puree are both choice options for Tampa-area carnivores.
You have to save room for dessert, because Meat Market serves up super soft Chocolate Chip Cookies with ice cold milk and it’s a pure nostalgia bomb of sweet flavor.
