Let’s taco about the next big event coming to the city of Tampa. No, I’m not referencing Gasparilla. You know that’s coming — and Tampa’s own Dave Bautista will serve as the Grand Marshal. This feature is all about the second annual Taco Festival at Al Lopez Park.

The event is scheduled for February 29 at Al Lopez Park. The family- and dog-friendly festival runs from 11am-6pm and will feature some of the best taco spots in the entire region.

Taqueria Emanuel is one of the first confirmed vendors at the second annual event, which is very promising. This joint makes some of the best al pastor tacos in the city. If you can’t wait for the event you can always visit Taqueria Emanuel at 2800 North MacDill Avenue.

Other vendors include La Taqueria el Nopal,

General admission tickets to the event are $5. VIP tickets are also available. VIPs enjoy exclusive on site parking (first come first serve), VIP Entrance, two alcoholic beverages from VIP Bar, two tacos from VIP tent, access to unlimited salsa and chip bar, and a private tent with seating.

Follow the event on Facebook for updates on vendors. You can purchase tickets to the event in advance online.
