Mangos Cafe and Store, a Caribbean and Haitian Creole concept, opening in Temple Terrace

Exterior of a restaurant with a photo of rice, beans, and plantains

Mangos Cafe and Store is the Cajun Creole restaurant of your dreams, and it’s the passion project of Nadge Andre who operates a catering service in Tampa Bay of the same name. Mangos Cafe and Store is located in Temple Terrace at 9718 N 56 Street.

We came across this business serving up Caribbean and Haitian Creole treats on Black Owned TPA’s Instagram, I highly recommend that anyone looking for new businesses to support in the area.

Haitian Creole food arrives in Temple Terrace

Nadege’s experience and training in cooking, and preparing flavorful dishes, seasonings, and drinks started when she was a child.

She began cooking in her parents kitchen for family gatherings and large family events. She received many requests to prepare meals from family and friends as she did what she loves…

That is Cooking and seeing the faces of everyone who partakes as they enjoy her labor of love.

This restaurant is a family affair

This has become a family business, as you will see her husband, son, and a few other family members join in at setting up and serving at the events she caters.

Its cafe and general store is coming soon to 9718 N 56 St., Temple Terrace.

Teased menu items include fried meatballs in gravy jasmine rice, oxtail, fried catfish, candied yams, jerk burger, and peach cobbler in jar.

The restaurant itself has a Haitian menu, a Caribbean menu, a Soul Food menu, and brunch and cafe dessert offerings.

The hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 11am-8pm.

What’s in a restaurant’s name

Why the name Mangos?

You can’t think of the tropics and not think of mangos. Being born in the islands, mangos was a big part of Nadege’s life. Even after moving to Miami, her parents grew mangos. Nadege would go to the back or front yard of the house and pick out a succulent sweet mango. Mangos are life for Nadge, and the catering company and cafe reflect that.
