Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is one of the education and entertainment highlights of our city. From robotic dinosaurs to epic 5k runs, the bastion of intrigue continues to surprise residents and visitors alike.
On November 9, Lowry Park Zoo announced the latest addition to its roster with Roaring Springs, a wild water adventure presented by Pinch a Penny.
Take a dip at the zoo
The ride offers visitors a new way to interact with the landscape and wildlife at the zoo. The scenic ride also tantalizes those seeking to satisfy their adrenaline needs with a three story drop. Roaring Springs will replace the former flume ride with a bigger and better water ride adventure for families to enjoy.
Along with the water ride, the Zoo’s Florida region will receive new, fresh upgrades expanding the Zoo’s capacity to provide vital care, rescue and rehabilitation to threatened native wildlife throughout the state.
Set to debut in 2018
Roaring Springs is set to open in early 2018. You can whet your appetite for zoo fun when Christmas in the Wild launches on November 24 and runs through December 30 (on select nights).
Lowry Park is no stranger to making a splash. A little under a year ago, the zoo partnered with Pirate Water Taxi to launch routes to and from the Tampa Riverwalk.
