Tampa Bay Lightning owner and chairman Jeff Vinik announced a $2 million donation from the Lightning Foundation to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts, offering vital aid to those affected by the devastating storm.

“This is a tragic situation for many families and communities here in Tampa Bay,” Vinik said. “During challenging times like these, the most important thing we can do as an organization is to support one another and aid in local relief efforts. We are proud to contribute to our community and hope this donation helps families recover and rebuild.”

The Lightning Foundation is partnering with local organizations to identify the areas of greatest need. Funds will be directed to non-profits focused on immediate relief as well as long-term recovery efforts. Along with the financial contribution, Tampa Bay Lightning employees will participate in volunteer opportunities to further support the community.
