This month, La Segunda is celebrating an incredible milestone: its 109th anniversary on July 18. From its humble beginnings in Ybor City, La Segunda has expanded to four locations across the Tampa Bay area, becoming a cherished institution in the community since its founding in 1915 by Juan Moré. Now under the leadership of Copeland Moré, the 4th generation owner, La Segunda continues to uphold its tradition of authentic cuisine and local flair.
To mark this special occasion, La Segunda is offering exclusive promotions on July 18. Fans of their famous Cuban Sandwiches and Turnovers are in for a treat. On this day only, Cuban Sandwiches will be available for just $7 (excluding pressed sandwiches), and all Turnovers (Guava, Guava with Cheese, and Apple) will be BOGO (Buy One, Get One Free). These special prices are available for in-store purchases at the Ybor City, Kennedy, and St. Pete locations. The Seminole Heights location will also participate in the BOGO Turnovers offer. Note that the promotion is limited to one per person, with no modifications or call-ins accepted.

One of the best bakeries in all of Tampa Bay
All four La Segunda locations (Ybor City, Kennedy, Seminole Heights, and St. Pete) are open daily from 6:30am to 3pm. Keep up with La Segunda on Facebook and Instagram.
The bakery was also just listed among the 100 best bakeries in the country by Food & Wine. Here’s what the site had to say about this local gem:
“Cuban bread, handmade by a small army of lifers, still with the signature palm frond running the length of each loaf, the way it’s been done for more than a century. Any further questions? Thought not. Family-owned since day one, a second, sit-down location finally opened not long ago—come in the morning for too much cafe con leche and buttered toast, otherwise known as one of Tampa’s best breakfasts.”
