Sangria is one of those drinks that is hard to be unhappy with – red or white or in between as long as it is fruity and boozy. This Spanish party staple is the perfect weekend drink by a rooftop pool or hoofing it down the Riverwalk in a handy to-go cup.
Now, Channelside is going to be getting an establishment devoted to this humble punch. La La’s Sangria Bar is set to open some time in the fall at 203 N. Meridian Ave.

What we know so far
Details are scarce, but images on the restaurant’s Facebook page promise house-made sangria, craft beers and tapas. It is also possible that La La’s will be dog friendly, which is great for folks in Channelside as there seems to be a fairly even dogs-to-people ratio.

The Columbia is really the OG for sangria in Tampa, but La La’s could have a nice niche market in Channelside as the area is growing by the month. We will keep readers posted if any juicy updates come out.
