Krampus Holiday Market happening in Tampa

Outdoor beer garden in Tampa

Listen, the whole holly, jolly, merry, bright side of the holidays is great. But I’m always down to get with the spooky side of things. Ghost stories at Christmas time is/was a tradition (at least back in the day).

Well, the amazing team behind The Independent Bar in Seminole Heights are tapping into the creepy side of Christmas for a special Krampus Art Market.

If you were naughty this year, beware.

The Krampusnacht Holiday Art Market is scheduled for December 5 at The Indie, located at 5016 North Florida Avenue South.

It’s the Independent, so of course there’s going to be live music, y’all. The Indie will also be serving hot Gluhwein (mulled wine). We may not have ski slopes here, but it’s the perfect winter drink.

Want a free draft at the event? Just come dressed as Krampus, but maybe leave the switch at home.

Local artists and vendors will be on hand to help residents shop local for the holidays, or treat themselves.

Can’t make it to The Independent? Jug & Bottle is also hosting Krampusnacht two nights later on December 7.

Enjoy vendor samplings from 11am-5:30pm. You can also get your photo taken with Krampus beginning at 2pm that day. 3 Dot Dash will also be serving up tasty vegan treats.

Looking for more local shopping opportunities? Coppertail Brewing is hosting a special holiday night market on Friday, December 13.
