Johnson & Johnson’s Global Services HQ Adding 500 Jobs in Tampa

On October 19, Mayor Bob Buckhorn was joined by Florida Governor Rick Scott at Johnson & Johnson’s new global services headquarters for a special ribbon cutting ceremony. The site opens with 240 employees with plans to raise that number to 540 by 2020.

“Today we celebrate opening this new center as the latest advancement in the proud history of the world’s largest and most broadly-based health care company,” said Erin Champlin, Vice President of Johnson & Johnson Global Services. “This new center expands our strong business presence within the state of Florida and we are excited to be a more active member of this vibrant Tampa community.”

The 88.5 thousand square foot building marks the company’s enthusiasm and intrigue in the Tampa market. Johnson & Johnson chose the city of Tampa for their new headquarters due to the surplus of talent in the fields of finance, operations, information technology, procurement and human resources.
