This article is sponsored by Hunter Giambra for Honorary Mayor of Riverview
Riverview’s honorary mayor is back on, and one candidate, Hunter Giambra, has put together a pro wrestling fundraiser for his campaign. That event is scheduled for February 23 at The Barn Theatre at Winthrop from 6:30pm-8:45pm. This process is all about supporting organizations that are doing good in the community; Giambra is supporting Fishhawk Spartans and Raining Cats and Dogs Sanctuary through his campaign.
Giambra’s Pro Wrestling Fundraiser is a perfect family friendly event for all ages. There will be raffles, 50/50, food vendors, drinks, as well as other giveaways. You don’t want to miss the special guests who are wrestling in this show. Tickets can be purchased in advance online for ringside tickets. Tickets will also be sold at the door, though ringside will be sold out by then.

Raining Cats and Dogs mission is to provide temporary and sometimes forever homes for unwanted cats and dogs in the Polk/Hillsborough County area. They partner with municipal shelters to provide a rescue for “at risk” dogs and cats. They fully support TNVR (trap neuter vaccinate and release) efforts to reduce the stray cat population. Their missions align with Giambra who is a big animal lover and has even adopted three pets of his own from shelters.
More events are scheduled throughout the month of February. You can visit Hunter Giambra’s official Facebook page for more information on upcoming fundraisers.
Hunter has always called Riverview his “home,” having attended schools in Riverview, including Sessums Elementary, Rodgers Middle School, and Riverview High School. Hunter has seen Riverview grow for the past 30 years. At the age of 20, Hunter founded Hurricane IT Solutions, specializing in Business to Business IT Solutions for businesses throughout central Florida. Hurricane IT Solutions has over 20 clients from dealerships, hospitals, and even schools. In March 2022, Hunter opened up “Hunter’s Brunch Shack” in the heart of Riverview, where Riverview Sandwich Shop operated for over 38 years.
