A huge 32-foot tall floating Christmas tree returns to Tampa

The magic of the holiday season will be on display along the Tampa Riverwalk once again.  This year, the 2.6 miles of Riverwalk will be aglow with lights, festive decorations, and fun activities for the whole family as part of the Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk’s Holiday Spectacular, presented by Mosaic. 

Join the entire Tampa Community to ring in the holiday season on Sunday, November 26 at 6pm. with the annual Holiday Harbour Tree Lighting in front of the Tampa Convention Center and Sail Pavilion (333 S Franklin Street). Mayor Jane Castor will symbolically “flip the switch” on this year’s Holiday Spectacular and a floating 35-foot tall Christmas tree, sponsored by Tampa General Hospital. After the tree lighting, guests are invited to stay and enjoy family-friendly holiday-themed festivities including holiday music, photos with Santa and kids can enjoy complimentary cookies and milk.

The fun culiminates on December 23 with a huge lighted holiday boat parade. The massive boat parade begins at 6:15pm and is viewable from the entiriety of the Tampa Riverwalk. Their boat parade officially ends at Sparkman Wharf (615 Channelside Dr) where you can enjoy even more holiday splendor.
