Hole in One, Valkyrie named two of the best donut shops in America by Yelp

The Tampa Bay region is for donut lovers, and a recent list from Yelp confirms it. Yelp’s list of the very best donut shops was informed by the volume of reviews on certain spots, and the quality of reviews left. Hole in One Donuts in Tampa, and Orlando-based Valkyrie Doughnuts both made the list. Valkyrie of course operates a second location in neighboring St. Pete.

Hole in One Donuts is celebrated for its breakfast sandwiches served on fresh pressed Cuban bread, its giant apple fritters, glazed twists, and chocolate covered glazed croissants. While Hole In One’s Tampa location made the list, they operate multiple locations across Hillsborough County:

Valkyrie Doughnuts delivers great vegan sweets in St. Pete and Orlando

Valkyrie Doughnuts is a vegan sweet shop and their guava donuts are exceptional. They rotate a huge variety of flavors that has included ube, mint chocolate chip, and peach rosemary. Their St. Pete shop is located at 2444 Central Avenue. You can see their update list of doughnut flavors, new coffee drinks, and events on their Instagram.

Aja Willette writes in a 5-star review of the vegan hub, “Always the best! One of my favorite donut shops. The cookie butter (filled) is my all time favorite, strawberry shortcake, French toast, Boston cream and glazed are all fantastic. Clean shop, friendly staff, always posting the donuts of the day on social media.”

So my personal favorite spot for donuts in the entire city of Tampa/state of Florida is Supernatural Food and Wine. Their old school cinnamon donuts are fluffy rings of perfection — and I highly recommend you give them a try. My second favorite shop is actual a mobile donut truck called Meli Greek Street Donuts. They’re a multi-time Dessert Wars Champion for a reason.
