The city of Tampa is a beautiful place to live work and play. While locals know this intrinsically, it’s always nice to see our city’s progress recognized and celebrated by outside sources.
Once again, Tampa received a 100 on the Municipal Equality Index. What does that mean?
We scored a perfect 100 on @HRC‘s annual Municipal Equality Index! In Tampa, we celebrate our diversity as a strength & are proud to see our commitment to human rights for all of our citizens recognized. See the full report at https://t.co/x0Tp3kvNpW pic.twitter.com/F7vJMGBqgC

Inclusivity is in Tampa’s DNA
The MEI is designed to understand the unique situation of each city and is structured to reward the specific achievements of a local government.
Tampa was rated on a scale of 0-100 based on the city’s laws, policies, benefits and services to protect the LGBTQ community. We’re proud of Tampa’s commitment to be a place of inclusivity.
Thank you to all of the city officials, business owners and law enforcement officers who make Tampa a welcoming community.
Tampa tops best food cities list
The accolades don’t end there. Once again Tampa found itself on Wallethub’s list of top foodie cities in America. We ranked 12th out of over 180 cities — and was the third highest rated Florida city behind Orlando and Miami.
The scores were based on affordability, diversity, accessibility and overall quality.
Which restaurants best exemplify this to us? Well, Rooster and The Till, Ichicoro, Mermaid Tavern, Ulele, Lolis Mexican Cravings and Stone Soup Company remain our forever go-to’s.
