Historic Henry Plant Museum offers eerie after dark tours in October

Get ready for a spine-chilling adventure at the Tampa Bay Hotel this Halloween season! “An Eerie Evening at the Tampa Bay Hotel” returns on October 18-20 and 25-27, offering a rare chance to explore the Henry Plant Museum (401 W Kennedy Blvd) under the “haunting glow of moonlight.” Step back in time and delve into the macabre world of 19th-century death rituals, mourning customs, and spiritualism.

With period lighting, flickering candles, and eerie artifacts setting the mood, this spooky event brings the past to life like never before. Wander through the Museum at your own pace, encountering the ghostly presence of Edgar Allan Poe and uncovering Victorian superstitions and traditions. As you explore thirteen rooms of the former Tampa Bay Hotel, search for hidden clues to solve a mysterious puzzle.

A unique after dark experience inside the historic museum

Tickets for this unique after-dark experience are $20 for Museum members and $25 for non-members. Not a member yet? Join now to enjoy discounted admission and make the most of this thrilling event! To secure tickets, members should call 813.258.7302. Friend-level memberships allow the purchase of two tickets, while Family-level and above can purchase up to four.
