Hillsborough River State Park transforms into the Haunted Woods this October

Hillsborough River State Park (15402 US 301 N) is a Florida treasure. The sprawling park features suspended bridges, kayaking and canoeing opportunities, beautiful hiking trails, and more. It’s open year-round for visitors to explore and admire our natural world. In October, the park’s preservation society gives visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the supernatural world with the Haunted Woods experience.

The event runs October 18 and 19. Park entry is $6 during the day, and the scare trail experience is $15 per person. Learn more on the official Facebook event page.

The scare trail will be open along the river near parking lot 3 from 7pm-10pm on both October 18 and 19. This experience is meant for more mature attendees.

A kid-friendly Enchanted Woods walk will be available on October 19 and will be open from 2pm-6pm. It’s jut $5 entry for kids 3 and up.

Visit the Field of Dreams for a sponsored Trunk or Treat, games, music, and more. Festivies include a pop-up cafe and a snack bar.

The Preservation Society is a volunteer Citizen Support Organization (CSO), established to support the needs of Hillsborough River State Park. Learn more about the group online.
