Hamilton, To Kill a Mockingbird headed to Tampa in 2020-21

The bright lights of Broadway are about to shine on the city of Tampa. Straz Center just released its 2020/2021 Broadway Calendar and it is loaded with gems you need to see, including the return of Hamilton to Tampa, and Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird.

Other marquee shows coming to the Straz Center include the acclaimed Tootsie, Hadestown, The Band’s Visit, and Cats! That’s right, not the nightmarish cinematic rendering, but the wonderful and strange theater classic come to life.

October 6-11

To Kill a Mockingbird

All rise for Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork. The New York Times Critic’s Pick TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is “the most successful American play in Broadway history. (60 Minutes). With direction by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD — “the greatest novel of all time” (Chicago Tribune) — has quickly become “one of the greatest plays in history” (NPR).

October 27-November 1

Escape to Margaritaville

Hadestown

Welcome to HADESTOWN, where a song can change your fate. The Band’s Visit

Shear Madness
