Gasparilla Season is here! The Pirate Party is a huge attraction every January, and in 2024 Water Street is joining the fun with its first-ever Pirate Pup Parade. On Jan. 14 from 11am–2pm, guests with dogs and dog lovers alike are invited to Water Street Tampa to enjoy or take part in the parade, pet-friendly activities, and even a Pirate Pup Costume Contest. Guests can enjoy face painting, pet caricatures, and more.

At 1pm, Sparkman Wharf will commence its dog costume contest and will offer free Chill Bros pup cups for the first 100 dogs at the Barking Lot. Don’t have a pooch of your own? Pet adoptions from Hillsborough Pet Resource Center and Mercy Full Project will be available in Raybon Plaza.

Sparkman Wharf, located at 615 Channelside Dr, features its own dog park (the barking lot) and is a fun, open-air destination dog owners can enjoy.

The official Gasparilla Children’s Parade is set for Saturday, January 20, and the big Pirate Fest is scheduled for January 27.
