Fresh Kitchen (FK), a popular build-your-own-bowl restaurant, is opening a new location in Lutz at 17629 Harpers Run Rd on Tuesday, August 20. To celebrate the grand opening, FK is inviting the Lutz community to enjoy complimentary bowls, exciting prizes, and opportunities to give back to the local area through special events. Pro tip: get the Fresh Kitchen cookies. They are one of my top 5 sweet treats in all of Tampa Bay (they’re gluten-free!).
Founded in 2014, FK is “committed to serving healthy, fresh-to-order meals with a focus on high-quality ingredients,” according to a press release. Guests can create their bowls using fresh greens, roasted veggies, hormone- and antibiotic-free meats, sustainably sourced seafood, and house-made sauces. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, with plenty of vegan options, and all items are cooked with 100% olive oil.

Tampa’s favorite counter-service healthy restaurant expands
My go-to order: a 6 bowl with coconut ginger rice and kale Caeser salad, sweet potatoes, and green beans, double up on tofu with the vinaigrette dressing. As I said before, I also always get a pack of the FK cookies.
The Lutz location will employ over 80 new team members and offer a positive, growth-oriented work environment. FK is also dedicated to sustainability, partnering with Renuable to educate staff on food waste and composting during their training.
In addition to customizable bowls, FK offers fresh-pressed juices, homemade Frescas, and paleo chocolate chip cookies. The Lutz location will also feature a convenient online ordering drive-thru, making it easier than ever for busy families and professionals to enjoy healthy meals.
