A major event will call downtown Tampa home this summer. The inaugural Florida OutCoast Convention (FLOCC) will take place this summer at the Hilton Tampa Downtown from August 1-3. This event will offer a one-of-a-kind experience for learning, strategizing and networking while addressing LGBTQ Tourism challenges, needs and opportunities.
“Never before has there been a space for Florida’s tourism and LGBTQ leaders to unite, evolve and flourish as one community,” said Rachel Covello, Publisher of OutCoast. “There is no denying that it is a challenging time in Florida for LGBTQ community members and travelers. Given that travel boycotts and LGBTQ inclusion are on the minds of tourism leaders throughout the country – and especially in Florida – the convention this August will provide a welcoming space to ‘FLOCC together’ to learn and develop solutions that will strengthen the Florida LGBTQ tourism industry.”

Florida Outcoast arrives in Tampa this summer
The convention will include general and breakout sessions, nationally recognized keynote speakers, diverse entertainment and an exhibit hall. FLOCC kicks off with an opening reception at Yeoman’s Cask & Lion, in partnership with Pink Media, on July 31. This conference also features Flamboyance, a gala celebrating LGBTQ tourism accomplishments throughout Florida, at the Florida Aquarium on August 2nd.
