Florida bars, restaurants can open at 100% capacity, Governor Ron DeSantis says

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was in neighboring St. Petersburg on September 25 to announce Phase 3 of reopening in the Sunshine State. Phase 3 lifts all remaining coronavirus restrictions in Florida.

DeSantis said that all businesses have a right to operate during a press conference.

Bars and restaurants can now operate at 100% capacity. The executive order takes effect immediately. It also prohibits local governments from closing businesses or collecting fines related to pandemic-related mandates, such as mask requirements.

Previous orders allowed local governments to provide further restrictions/regulations in addition to state mandates. Now, local governments won’t be able to shut down any businesses due to coronavirus concerns.
