FLocale is officially open in the city of Tampa. This restaurant/food hall brings together King of the Coop, Westshore Pizza, and Rock Bros under one roof at 5910 N Florida Avenue. The interior features Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mural by local artist Rojo.
It’s described as a space where really good food, music, and art collide. King of the Coop is famous for its hot chicken, giant crispy chicken sandwiches, and it just launched fried chicken sliders. Since its initial debut in the city of Tampa, King of the Coop has found ample room to spread its wings. A new location just opened in St. Petersburg. It also set its sites on Westchase and Wesley Chapel.
FLocale brings the best of Tampa together under one roof
Westshore Pizza is a concept well regarded for its large pies. It currently operates more than a dozen locations in the state of Florida. Westshore Pizza has long been a staple in South Tampa, and it even offers options for gluten-free diners.
Rock Brothers is a brewery inspired by music and art. Their currently of craft brews pulls inspiration from 311. Rock Brothers began as an idea in Atlanta, GA and took full form in the founders hometown of Tampa, FL as the craft beer boom was and still is explodin. An opportunity presented itself to ignite this brand in 2012, an idea RB founder Kevin Lilly had been nurturing since 2006, and by the Spring of 2014 their first brand came to life with the local band “Have Gun Will Travel.”
Many will remember the building at 5910 N Florida Avenue as the old Refinery space in Seminole Heights. If any concepts were to be its successors in the neighborhood, then we’re happy to see that these local businesses are picking up the torch.
