Flippers Pizzeria opens new restaurant in Tampa

It’s a good day for pizza lover’s in Tampa. Flippers Pizzeria, an Orlando-based pizza chain, has just opened a new location in Tampa (201 N Dale Mabry Hwy). This joins their other brick-and-mortar restaurant in neighboring St. Pete.

Flippers is famous for its hand tossed pies and huge sub sandwiches. A few must try items include:

• Pepperoni Napoli:  An elevated pepperoni pizza with DOP San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh oregano, and EVOO.
• Honey Badger:  Sweet with the heat, a combo of DOP San Marzano tomatoes, Italian sausage, Genoa salami, fresh mozzarella, red pepper flakes, red onion, Peppadew peppers, fresh basil, and local raw honey.
• Pig & Pesto: A foodies delight with EVOO, fresh spinach, smoked bacon, prosciutto, ricotta dollops, fresh mozzarella, and a basil pesto drizzle.
• Asiago Pepperoni Rolls: All-natural pepperoni, asiago, hand-rolled dough, melted garlic butter, fresh oregano, and pizza sauce to dip in!
• Bacon Honey Buns: Smoked bacon, hand-rolled dough, cinnamon glaze, local honey, and powdered sugar. Pro tip: Try the fresh pineapple ones too!!

Flippers Pizzeria is locally owned with locations throughout Florida. The first pizzeria was opened in 1987 in Orlando and has grown to 14 locations throughout the state with 2 more currently under construction.

The Flippers team prides itself on baking hand-crafted pizzas at 625 degrees, made with fresh all-natural ingredients. Flippers S.
