Film Event & Panel Discussion @ Tampa Theatre

April 14 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Join us for an incredible evening. Two inspiring films followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers and featured architect!

The House: 6 Points of Departure (46 min) After 30 years, extraordinary architects Thom Mayne and Robin Donaldson return to a pivotal site in their careers. 2.5 years to design, 2.5 years to build, the Crawford House in Montecito, California emerged as a house of ideas and one of the world’s most widely studied pieces of residential architecture. The House takes us on an exploration of the creative process, art’s impact on architecture, and reveals insights into these renowned architects’ pursuit of the singular Idea.

This Is Not A House (30 min) details the construction of one of the most unique homes in the world. This delightful structure designed by Robin Donaldson of Donaldson+Partners is born of the combined power of art, technology, and a celebration of play.

Panelists joining us include architect Robin Donaldson, and filmmakers Susan Goggin, Greg Goggin, and Casey Acaster.

This event is FREE thanks to the generosity of Tampa Theatre and our many sponsors. Please kindly register so we know how many to expect.
