HCC Art Galleries invites the community to celebrate the first day of school with us at Gallery221@HCC Dale Mabry on August 19, 6-8 p.m.
See what HCC Art Galleries have planned for 2024-2025 school year at this free back-to-school community networking event. We’ll have sweet treats, mocktails, music from Tampa’s DJ MES, and a silent auction where anyone can bid on work created by local artists. Bids start at just $25!
While you’re here, preview Gallery221@HCC Dale Mabry’s first exhibition of the 2024-2025 school year, “Flourishing Dichotomies.” This cross-college collaboration pairs work by contemporary Florida artists with work from the Vickers Collection, on loan from the Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida.
NEVER BEEN TO A SILENT AUCTION BEFORE?
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
You get a card with a bidding number on it at the door.
We place a bid sheet next to each piece of artwork.
To place a bid, write your bidding number on the artwork’s bid sheet along with the dollar amount. You can bid as many times as you like on as many artworks as you like, so keep an eye on those bid sheets throughout the evening. Bids close at $500.
Members get an “early bird” bidding hour from 5-6 p.m., during which they can close a bid at a reduced amount of $450.
