Edible cookie dough concept, Dough Nation, opens in Carrollwood

Let’s be honest, cookie dough is better than a cookie. There’s a tasty dessert concept in Tampa that delivers cone/cup fulls of delicious edible cookie dough to eager (and hungry) Tampa residents. Enter Dough Nation!

The dessert shop is the latest offering from Metropolitan Ministries. The non-profit organization provides food, shelter, self sufficiency programs, trauma informed care to those most in need in the City of Tampa. Every purchase you make at Dough Nation goes toward Metropolitan Ministries mission.

Dough Nation was originally located in Downtown Tampa, but has now made the jump to Carrollwood at 11642 North Dale Mabry Highway. It’s in good company too; the Carrollwood location situates it right next to the always popular Noble Crust.

Cookie dough options include Sugar Cookie, GLUTEN-FREE Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, Double Chocolate Oreo, and (my personal favorite) M&M.

You can also assemble a monolithic sundae if that’s your preference. Guests can also experience Dough Shakes, and the vital Cookie Dough Melts. That’s a hot pressed ice cream sandwich with the super chewy cookie of your choice.

Available ice cream flavors range from the exceptional French Vanilla and Pistachio, to Raspberry Truffle and Espresso Chip.

Who needs to visit Dough Nation?

Follow the concept on Facebook and Instagram for special flavor updates.

Need more desserts in your life? The Tampa Bay Chocolate Festival is scheduled for this February.

Also in February is the Largest Dessert Festival in America, that event will take place at Armature Works.
