That’s not the only bit of exciting travel news in the state of Florida.
Hawaiian Airlines just announced that beginning March 2021, they will be launching non-stop service between Orlando, Florida (MCO) and Honolulu, Hawaii (HNL).
“We look forward to welcoming you aboard and sharing our authentic Hawaiian hospitality with you” wrote airline representatives in a statement.
Hawaiian Airlines is Hawaii’s biggest and longest-serving airline. They’ve led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past 16 years (2004-2019) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Consumer surveys by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and TripAdvisor have also placed Hawaiian Airlines among the top of all domestic airlines serving Hawaii.
The first flights between Orlando and Honolulu launched on Saturday, March 13. While this inaugural was met with plenty of fanfare and celebration, the airline announced it was not all for show. High customer demand is leading the airline to increase Orlando to Honolulu service to three times per week this summer.
