The Current Hotel on Rocky Point is home to one of the best rooftop bars in the state of Florida. The Current Hotel by Marriott was just acquired by The Caspers Co., which owns The Oxford Exchange, The Library, and The Stovall House, for $85 million, according to The Business Observer Florida.
The Current Hotel, part of the Autograph Collection, is tailor-made for Tampa’s Rocky Point area. The waterfront hotel gives off serious local boutique vibes. One of the first pieces of art you see when you enter the main lobby is a metal work by the prolific Mark Aeling, who some might know as the sculptor behind the Rise Monument in St. Petersburg, and the First in Flight sculpture on the St. Pete Pier.

This 10-floor, 180-room hotel offers the perfect panoramic views of the Tampa Bay region. It’s also a film-friendly hotel, offers spa packages, curated shops, huge indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, and is green lodging certified.
