Strategic Property Partners, LLC announced that Crisp & Green, the national health-focused fast-casual restaurant, will open early this year in Water Street Tampa’s Via Corazon, across from the Cora residential development and on the ground floor of the East Cumberland Avenue parking garage. The Water Street Tampa location will be Crisp & Green’s first in Tampa and fifth in Florida.
Crisp & Green joins other health-focused restaurants in the neighborhood such as Naked Farmer and Fit Bowl Co. A similar restaurant, SweetGreen, also made its debut not far in neighboring Tampa Heights.
“Water Street Tampa has inspired many national retailers to open their first Tampa location, and we’re proud to add Crisp & Green to that list,” said Lee Schaffler, Chief Portfolio Officer for SPP. “Their health- and wellness-focused menu dovetails perfectly with our commitment to well-being as the world’s first WELL Precertified neighborhood.”
Crisp & Green brings healthy eats to Water Street
“Floridians are seeking high-quality food with great flavor that is healthy and they can grab on the run,” says founder and CEO, Steele Smiley in an interview with QSR Magazine. “We are grateful to be able to meet customer demand with fresh menu items…We are ready to expand aggressively across the entire state of Florida during the next two years.”
Befitting its mission to offer chef-crafted nutritious foods to fit conveniently into a modern, wellness-driven lifestyle, Crisp & Green serves a variety of made-from-scratch salads, grain bowls, acai bowls, aguas frescas, smoothies and more. As part of Crisp & Green’s commitment to making a healthy lifestyle easily available, the Water Street Tampa location will host free public events inside the restaurant that complement the neighborhood’s wellness-focused initiatives.
“Water Street Tampa is a vibrant new community where our neighbors live, work and play, so we know they will enjoy the healthy meals that Crisp & Green has to offer,” said Mike Lester, who owns and operates Crisp & Green locations in the region. “We look forward to providing Water Street Tampa with our blend of nutritious foods, strong community engagement and complimentary fitness programs to create the ‘Living Crisp’ movement.”
