A slice of Italy is rolling into Tampa. Cipriano Zonin, a family-owned pizzeria steeped in tradition, is set to make its debut in Tampa Bay this May. The brand new mobile pizzeria will offer its authentic old-world recipes, made with imported Italian ingredients and cooked to perfection in a stone oven.
The grand opening will coincide with National Pizza Party Day on May 19 at Tiny Tap Tavern, located at 2105 W. Morrison Ave. in South Tampa. To celebrate, Cipriano Zonin will give away 300 free slices of pizza to attendees from 5pm-8pm. The celebration will continue the next day at Water Street Tampa’s Pawty in the Plaza event, where the brand will give away another 200 free slices from 3pm-6pm.

The story of Cipriano Zonin begins in Gambellara, Italy, where the Zonin family created their signature Italian sausage company and recipes. With the immigration of Co-Founder Ashley Salmon’s great grandfather, Cipriano Zonin, to Manhattan in the 1920s, the family quickly became renowned for their culinary expertise. Today, Cipriano Zonin brings their unique family recipes and flavors to Tampa Bay’s growing pizza scene.

Co-founders Ashley and John Salmon share a passion for quality food, and together they bring their vision to life with Cipriano Zonin. The brand features four specialty pizzas served by the slice, including ingredients like imported Italian plum tomatoes, Luganiga sausage, imported Italian double-zero flour, and house-made Sicilian cream sauce.
Popping up at two events in Tampa
“Our goal is not only to provide great pizza but to make everyone feel like family,” said Ashley Salmon. “We are excited to share our family’s rich history and flavors with Tampa Bay and beyond.”
Cipriano Zonin will maintain a primary presence in Tampa, with plans to travel between Tampa and St. Petersburg. Customers can also book the truck for catering and event services. With their unique flavors and commitment to family tradition, Cipriano Zonin is sure to make a splash in the Tampa Bay food scene.
