Ciccio Cali is the healthy and hearty restaurant concept that can satiate your sweet tooth and provide a damn fine post-workout indulgence.
The restaurant already has locations in Brandon, Tampa Palms and St. Petersburg — and it’s fourth will take over the former Pei Wei at 217 South Dale Mabry Highway later in 2018.
Like all of Ciccio Restaurant Group’s restaurants, Cali does brunch right.
Pretzel French Toast is a savory dream
Favorites include the San Fran Pretzel French Toast — made with egg battered soft pretzel french toast, stuffed with sweet cream cheese and topped with whipped cream and strawberries. You’d do well to dip your fork into the gluten-free Monterey Hash, which is filled with ham, onion, bell peppers, monterey jack and mozzarella cheese, topped with two eggs over easy.
They also serve a variety of super-packed egg bowls complete with Ciccio’s signature potatoes or warm farro.
Bowl culture takes over Tampa
We’re 100% on board with the bowl culture at Ciccio’s — and this carries over into dinner. Avocado glazed buffalo chicken, seared rare ahi tuna, grilled shrimp and blackened chicken all mix with yellow rice, sautéed vegetables and myriad other add ons.
The mix of fit and filling entrees always hits the proverbial spot. The Ciccio takeover of Tampa Bay is, in our opinion, more than welcome.
Plus, the group also runs a gym in case you want to earn that indulgence.
