ZooTampa at Lowry Park (1101 W Sligh Avenue) transforms into a holiday wonderland once again with Christmas in the Wild. The festivities run through December 23. The award-nominated event promises to be the biggest yet, with more dazzling light displays, new attractions, and festive activities for all ages. Tickets can be reserved in advance online.
One of the most exciting additions this year is The Realm of the Nutcracker. This immersive experience brings the beloved holiday story to life through a modern dance party featuring Clara, the Nutcracker, and other iconic characters. Guests can also enjoy Mrs. Claus Storytime, where the North Pole’s First Lady will delight visitors with Christmas tales and songs.

Dazzling lights are strung across ZooTampa
In addition to these enchanting new offerings, ZooTampa introduces The Forest of Fantasy, a series of four breathtaking light shows set to festive music. New this year, two more shows join the lineup, featuring appearances by the Snow Queen and her magical snow fairies.
Another new highlight includes larger-than-life illuminated animal sculptures, now featuring a manatee and her calf, a family of flamingos, and penguins. These stunning installations offer perfect photo opportunities throughout the park.
Return of the Candy Cane Carousel
Returning favorites like the Rockin’ Wreath and Snowasis continue to delight guests, alongside seasonal attractions like the Candy Cane Carousel, North Pole Lane, and Randolph’s Reindeer Games. Guests can even enjoy special Holiday Signature Encounters, where they can meet animals like African penguins and Indian rhinos up close.
