ZooTampa’s Christmas in the Wild celebration is back

ZooTampa at Lowry Park (1101 W Sligh Avenue) transforms into a magical holiday wonderland with the return of Christmas in the Wild, running on select nights through December 23. This award-nominated event features dazzling light displays, exciting new attractions, and festive activities for all ages. Tickets can be reserved online, starting at $29.95 after 4 p.m.

New attractions to light up the season

This year’s event introduces The Realm of the Nutcracker, a modern dance party that brings the beloved holiday tale to life with Clara, the Nutcracker, and other iconic characters. Guests can also enjoy Mrs. Claus Storytime, where the North Pole’s First Lady shares delightful tales and songs.

ZooTampa also debuts The Forest of Fantasy, featuring four breathtaking light shows synchronized to festive music. New additions this year include appearances by the Snow Queen and her snow fairies, plus two more light shows to explore.

Larger-than-life lights and returning favorites

Stunning illuminated animal sculptures, including a manatee and her calf, flamingos, and penguins, provide perfect photo opportunities throughout the park. Returning favorites like the Candy Cane Carousel, North Pole Lane, Rockin’ Wreath, and Randolph’s Reindeer Games continue to enchant guests. Special Holiday Signature Encounters offer the chance to meet animals like African penguins and Indian rhinos up close.
